How Funding Works
Settlement, batch processing, and the factors that affect your deposit timing.
How Funding Works
After a payment is captured, it joins a settlement batch. When the batch settles, funds are deposited to your business bank account. Standard card funding typically takes 1 to 2 business days, while ACH transfers may take longer. Timelines depend on your processor, financial institution, transaction type, and merchant configuration.
Batch Cut-Off Times
Processors set daily batch cut-off times. Transactions captured before the cut-off typically settle in that day's batch; those captured after roll to the next batch. Knowing your cut-off time helps you predict when funds will deposit. Weekends and bank holidays delay standard funding by one or more business days.
Accelerated Funding Options
Some processors offer same-day or next-day funding where supported. Real-time payment networks like RTP and FedNow may provide faster settlement for eligible transactions. Availability depends on your processor, financial institution participation, transaction type, and merchant eligibility — accelerated funding is not guaranteed.

Bank and network participation may change over time.
Funding FAQs
Answers to common questions about deposits and timelines.
When will I receive my deposits?
Standard card funding typically deposits within 1 to 2 business days after batch settlement. ACH transfers may take additional business days. Weekends and bank holidays delay funding. Your specific timeline depends on your processor, bank, and merchant configuration.
What is a batch cut-off time?
A batch cut-off is the daily deadline for transactions to be included in that day's settlement batch. Transactions captured before the cut-off settle that day; those captured after roll into the next batch. Contact ONKORE to confirm your specific cut-off time.
Do deposits happen on weekends?
Standard funding does not process on weekends or bank holidays. Transactions captured on those days typically settle on the next business day. Some accelerated funding options may be available on weekends where supported, but this is not guaranteed.
Is same-day funding available?
Same-day funding may be available depending on your processor, merchant eligibility, and financial institution. It is not guaranteed. Availability and speed depend on cut-off times, transaction type, and whether your bank supports accelerated settlement.
What are RTP and FedNow?
RTP (operated by The Clearing House) and FedNow (operated by the Federal Reserve) are real-time payment networks that enable instant settlement for eligible transactions at participating financial institutions. Availability depends on your processor and bank's participation in these networks.
Why was my deposit delayed?
Common causes include weekend or holiday processing, batch cut-off timing, new account holds, ACH settlement timelines, or issues with your bank account details. If a delay persists beyond the expected window, contact ONKORE support to investigate.
